Archana Biography
Archana is a famous actress.She is also known as Romeo Archana. She won 2 awards in her career. Archana started her career as an actress with the famous movie "Umang" which was released in 1970.
She acted in the movie Ladies Tailor" in which she played the role of Sujatha in 1985. Archana got her fame from the movie "Pacha Thoranam" which was released in 1998. 
After that she played the lead role in the movie "Phool Aur Aag" which was released in 1999. 
She played the role of Sati Gujaral in the movie "Nishad" which was released in 2002.

Career

Archana has won the National Award twice for Veedu in Tamizh(1988) and Daasi in Telugu(1989)which reflects as much on her talent as her versatility in all South Indian Languages.The only other actresses who have won the National Award more than once are Sharada,Shabna Azmi, Smitha Patel,Tabu and Shobana. So Archana belongs to a very rare and exclusive breed of film actresses who happen rarely.The fact that she has not acted in more than thirty films is probably only because she did not get the roles that she desired.She was an automatic choice for all the socially relevant films made by film makers which required performers who could emote as spontaneous and as natural as possible.
She acted in movies such as "Ladies Tailor" (directed by Vamsi) and "Kallu" (Eyes). She acted in Nireekshana (1987), by Balu Mahendra, and she acted in Rettai vaal kuruvi and neengal kettavai in tamil.
